Andrei, the quitter

Andrei was a quitter. Faced with a challenge, his mind would jump straight to defeat. He’d drop a class after a bad grade, quit a sport after a tough practice, and leave friendships hanging on the first sign of conflict. He believed success was a one-shot deal, and if he didn’t ace it the first try, it simply wasn’t meant to be. This left him frustrated and lonely, surrounded by half-finished projects and fading friendships.
During a college course he was inspired by this quote and began to look at challenges differently: “Life is not about avoiding difficulties; it’s about learning how to overcome them.” – Dalai Lama
